Privacy Policy

Kadam ("we", "our", or "the app") is a running tracker and coaching app. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information the app handles

Location. Precise GPS location while you record a run, used to map your route and measure distance, pace, and elevation. Tracking continues in the background during an active run.

Health & fitness (Apple HealthKit). With your permission, the app reads heart rate, heart-rate variability, and sleep to show live data and gauge recovery, and can save completed runs to Apple Health. On Apple Watch it reads heart rate during a workout.

Motion. Step cadence and stride length from the device's motion sensor while you run.

Contacts. Only if you choose "Find friends", to match people you know who also use Kadam. Contacts are not uploaded for any other purpose.

Photos. Only photos you attach to a run in your log.

Profile & run content. The name, username, avatar, bio, and runs you create, plus anything you choose to share to the community.

Purchase status. Whether you have an active Kadam Premium subscription (managed by Apple; we never see your payment details).

How your data is used

All of the above is used solely to provide app features: recording and analyzing your runs, coaching, training plans, recovery insights, gear tracking, and the optional community. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Apple HealthKit

Health data obtained through HealthKit is used only to deliver in-app features. It is never used for advertising or marketing, and it is not shared with or sold to any third party. You can review and revoke Kadam's Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app.

Where your data is stored

Your runs and settings are stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled, data may also be stored in your own private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit — under your Apple ID, not on servers we control. Subscription processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.

Third parties

Kadam does not include advertising or third-party analytics tools. The only third party involved is Apple, which provides iCloud/CloudKit storage, HealthKit, and App Store subscription processing under Apple's own privacy terms.

Your choices and controls

Grant or revoke Location, Health, Motion, Contacts, Camera, and Photos permissions any time in your device Settings.
Delete your account and data in the app under Settings → Delete Account. Deleting the app also removes data stored on the device.
Manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).

Children

Kadam is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
